Conté Sketching Crayons • Matchbox Set

Made from a blend of natural pigments, kaolin clay, and graphite, these pastel sticks provide particularly soft and smooth drawing. They are well suited for use on newsprint, bristol, toned paper or heavily grained surfaces. This convenient set features four popular Conte Sketching Crayons in a compact matchbox storage container with protective sponge insert. It includes one each of Sanguine, Bistre, Black and White 2B.

These crayons are very soft to apply and manufactured using natural pigments (iron oxides, carbon black, titanium dioxide), clay (kaolin) and a binder (cellulose ether).

The rich tones mix together nicely, and are well suited for use on textured paper or heavily grained surfaces. Sharpen them to a chisel tip, or drag them flat on their sides for various shading techniques.
