'Close Your Eyes' Director: Víctor Erice (2023) New Wave Films DVD | Spanish w/ English subtitles

After The Spirit of the Beehive and El Sur, and 30 years after his Canne prize-winning The Quince Tree Sun, Víctor Erice returned in 2023 with this compelling reflection on identity, memory, and cinema.

Years after his mysterious disappearance, a famous Spanish actor is thrust back into the public eye, leading the director of his last film to examine both his past and the unfinished film. When someone claims to have seen the actor, it becomes a quest to identify his old friend and revive his memory.
