BioGuard SilkGuard Complete 1" Tabs | Sanitizer

BioGuard SilkGuard Complete 1" Chlorinating Tablets deliver the same four-technology formula as BioGuard's flagship 3" tablets in a smaller format built for smaller water. If your pool holds a few thousand gallons, or your floater and feeder are sized for 1" tabs, this is the version that actually fits.

The chemistry is identical to the 3" tablet, and it's what separates SilkGuard Complete from commodity trichlor. SilkGuard® Technology attaches to hard water minerals and metal surfaces, softening the feel of the water while protecting the pool surface and equipment from scale, corrosion, and staining. SmartGuard® Technology controls the dissolution rate so the tablets last longer than conventional trichlor. SunShield® Technology protects the chlorine residual from ultraviolet breakdown. And algae-killing crystals put a copper-based preventative into the water continuously, working against algae before it becomes visible.

The practical difference from the 3" tablet is surface area and dose granularity. A 1" tablet has far more surface area per pound, so the tabs dissolve more readily and respond faster to a change in your feeder or floater setting. That's an advantage in a small pool, where a single large tablet can swing the chlorine level much further than you intended, and it's the only option at all when your dispenser won't accept a 3" tab.

The dosing rate is the same by weight — 16 oz per 10,000 gallons — which for this format works out to roughly 27 tablets. Worth knowing before you open the container, because 27 tablets looks like a great deal more chlorine than two.

Usable in a skimmer, an in-line or off-line feeder, or a floating dispenser. Supplied in a 4.5 lb container.
